1/365: Resolve
Marco Island, Florida.
South Marco Beach.
Mai Tai nonnegotiable.
2/365: New Beginnings
Naples, Florida.
Eric's parents own a condo in Naples. The area is just brimming with animals, plants, and old people that I'm not used to, but find pleasantly photogenic (old people included). A sweet old lady took the initiative to grow these orchids in the yards around the Port of the Islands. The coolest part (that is unfortunately not seen above)? They grow off the trees. The roots burrow in and find life there, without being a parasite to the palm tree.
3/365: Repetition
Marco Island, Florida. The Snook Inn.
The restaurant we went to this night has these beautiful docks that you can walk down while you're waiting for your food. Some people enjoy feeding the Snook bread (a member of my party included), looking at the different boats riding by, or catching starfish from the posts. This particular night an eerie green light was turned on beneath the docks and to the surface came a bunch of catfish. As a Midwestern girl I have an appreciation for good catfish, but I was informed that these yucky guys are quite different. Salt water catfish would not be the best eating. But they take a good photo.
4/365: Pattern
Fort Myers, Florida
Fort Myers Airport. Terminal B9. Bingo.
I found this carpet delightfully tacky. The man next to me found me delightfully weird for taking a picture of my feet. He clearly doesn't get the cliches of my generation.
5/365: Something New, Something Blue
My home sweet home.
IndieGoElephant.etsy.com (shameless plugging).
6/365:
With Words
But the wild things cried, “Oh please don’t go — we’ll eat you up — we love you so!”
7/365: Fur
My Parents
House.
This little
guy gives Eric a world of trouble. Just look at that face.
He’s a little camera
shy.
